In March 2026 the Defense Health Agency's Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs selected iXpressGenes and the Birmingham VA Health Care System for a Toxic Exposures Research Program award, through a two-tier peer and programmatic review of scientific merit. The work applies the same RNA transcriptomic approach behind CSP. Period of performance runs through 2031.
